Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jokke Hansseen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vonatletzin Askiban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jokke Hansseen has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jokke Hansseen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vonatletzin Askiban!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hansseen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Askiban is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hansseen trying to control the action but Askiban is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hansseen is working for a submission of some sort.
Hansseen keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Askiban blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hansseen.
Hansseen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Askiban wants to get back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Hansseen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Askiban is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Askiban is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Askiban defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Hansseen.
Hansseen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Askiban is looking to escape.
Askiban tries to lock up and control but Hansseen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Hansseen has hold of Askiban's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Askiban manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Hansseen postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Askiban looks a forlorn figure.
Hansseen cracks Askiban with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Askiban wants to control but Hansseen is having none of it.
Hansseen looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Askiban tries to lock up and control but Hansseen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Hansseen lands a big elbow.

Hansseen is going olschool here, as he tries to force Askiban to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Askiban shrugs it off.

Hansseen working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Askiban wants to control but Hansseen is having none of it.

Askiban defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Hansseen.
Hansseen is breathing heavily.
Askiban can't escape the position.

Hansseen prevents Askiban from getting the reversal.

Hansseen looking to break Askiban's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Askiban remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Hansseen will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Askiban really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hansseen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

I really don't envy Askiban right now.
Askiban trying to control the position but Hansseen manages to sink in the hooks.
Askiban is trying to break free.

Hansseen is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Askiban is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Hansseen gets his way!
