Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirill Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos has chosen Bandidos as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Kirill Santos has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Powers feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Santos has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Powers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Santos avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Powers is looking to take a break and control but Santos is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are battling for position here. Santos manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Santos had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Powers is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Santos Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Powers's back instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Santos leaves Powers with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Powers gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Powers is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Santos has his hands clasped together but Powers extends an breaks Santos's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Powers.
