Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Angelo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Henry!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Angelo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
John Henry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Henry gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Henry pulls guard successfully.
Angelo won't allow Henry to get back to his feet.
Angelo is looking to stand up but Henry won't let him.
Henry doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Angelo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Henry will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Angelo tries to clinch but Henry moves away

and Henry counters by clinching up.

Henry has Angelo pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Henry pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Angelo tumbling to the mat - Henry dives into Angelo's guard.

Angelo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Henry gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Angelo is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Henry rolls with it to try and escape but Angelo cranks on the arm and Henry is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
