Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wanderlei Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Finch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Finch has time to react.
Silva fails with a takedown attempt.
Finch fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silva manages to avoid it.
Finch on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Finch lands a jab-cross combination.
Silva misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Finch scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Finch tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Finch fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silva manages to avoid it.

Silva sends Finch crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Silva is motioning to the referee to let Finch up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Silva takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Silva looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Finch with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Finch can do anything to dispel that myth.

Finch is defending against the submission attempts here by Silva.

Silva wants to work for an arm triangle but Finch is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Finch really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Finch is looking for a sweep. Silva is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
