Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between jimmy recard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trip Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
recard shoots in but no luck this time.
Hammer wants to clinch.
Hammer stuffs the takedown.
recard lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hammer at a distance.
Hammer tries for a takedown but recard circles away easily
and recard counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Hammer is lucky that one didn't land flush.
recard clinches up with Hammer and pushes him back against the cage.
recard gets control of Hammer's arms and successfully pulls guard. recard will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
recard is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Hammer has eaten all the pies!
recard is looking for a triangle here but Hammer uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
recard is pushing Hammer's head away, looking to escape. Hammer manages to hold on to the position though.

Hammer decides to stand back up. Hammer steps back and let's recard get back to his feet.
Hammer swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Hammer darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
It looks like Hammer is going to stand back up.
Hammer prevents recard from improving his position.
recard is not content to let Hammer control the position.

Hammer works his foot free and advances to mount.
Hammer looking to control but recard is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Hammer with shots to the head and body - recard looks very uncomfortable down there.
Hammer tries to control but recard wriggling away.
Hammer forces the positional change into back control.

Hammer wants to control but recard is keeping busy.
recard trying to control the action but Hammer just sinks the hooks in.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Hammer has the hooks in. recard is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Hammer has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of recard's body.
Hammer keeps control of the position as recard tries to break free.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hammer gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
recard breaks Hammer's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Trip Hammer dominated that round.

recard shoots in but no luck this time.
recard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hammer closes the distance but recard moves to the side
and recard counters with a right hand to the body.
recard wants to clinch up but Hammer keeps it at a distance.
Hammer keeps the fight on the outside.
recard shoots in for a takedown but Hammer shows good takedown defense.
Hammer falls off balance throwing a combination
and recard counters by clinching up.
Hammer tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. recard smiles and moves away.
Hammer tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and recard counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Hammer is pressed up against the cage. recard has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hammer down to the mat. Hammer avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for jimmy recard. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hammer looks to clinch
and recard moves into the clinch.

recard lands a takedown into guard.
recard drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hammer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now recard has Hammer in his guard.
Hammer with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Hammer works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Hammer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but recard does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Hammer wants to stand but recard has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Hammer slips a nice elbow through recard's hands, connecting with recard's forehead.
Hammer is looking to take a break and control but recard is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hammer is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

recard wants to get back to full guard but Hammer has passed into side control.
Hammer tries to control but recard wriggling away.

recard takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The referee warns recard that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Hammer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Hammer lands a heavy elbow.

recard is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Hammer locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! recard is forced to tap!
