PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Vitti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rolando Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vitti comes to the cage accompanied by Eye of the tiger. Alves has chosen Ghostface Killah - The Champ as his entrance music. Rolando Alves will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Vitti changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Alves tries to avoid it but Vitti manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Alves to the ground. Alves escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Vitti seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Alves for as long as he can get away with.

That was a close round but I would say that Rodrigo Vitti will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Vitti shoots in looking for a takedown. Alves tries to sprawl out of it but Vitti keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Alves manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Alves is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Vitti lets go of the hold and Alves can pop his arm back in it's socket.
