The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Jones throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jones is looking to clinch.
A big left from McCormick misses.

Jones closes the distance and clinches.
McCormick drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jones gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Jones goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Jones is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
McCormick tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jones smiles and moves away.
McCormick with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jones to score with a decent uppercut.
Jones tries to clinch up.
Jones works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Jones misses with a looping right.
McCormick thows a body shot but no joy.
Jones misses with a wild body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A lazy left from Jones finds it's target.
Jones takes a body punch but keeps moving.

McCormick closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jones did well to prevent McCormick getting side control.
Jones pushes McCormick off looking to stand but McCormick dives back in and keeps control.
Jones tries to get to full guard but McCormick has control of the leg.
McCormick moves nicely into side control.
McCormick in side control, throwing shots but Jones defends.
Jones is pushing McCormick's head away, looking to escape. McCormick manages to hold on to the position though.
McCormick misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
McCormick in side control lands a decent elbow.

It looks like Jakamo Jones has been cut.
McCormick landing a few strikes.
Jones tries to escape but McCormick is in control.

McCormick has hold of Jones's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Jones tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - McCormick cranks the arm and Jones screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Jones, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
