Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lonnie Kiger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felipe Bento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bento has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kiger darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Bento looks gassed!

It looks like Felipe Bento has been cut.
Kiger passes to side control.
Kiger tries to move to mount but Bento blocks the move with his legs.
Kiger is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Bento will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Bento is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Bento prevents Kiger from moving into mount.
Kiger wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bento keeps working.

Kiger is trying to get an arm triangle but Bento is defending well.

Kiger tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kiger has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kiger is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bento has escaped the position, nice work there.

Kiger wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bento, who protects the arm well.
Kiger tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Kiger stands up and we're back to a striking position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bento tries to buck Kiger off but he can't manage it.

Kiger is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Bento has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Bento!
Kiger is adopting a defensive guard.
Kiger lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bento!

and Kiger counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Bento is not content to let Kiger control the position.
Kiger is controlling the pace.
Lonnie Kiger overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bento has hold of Kiger's hands but Kiger slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Ground and pound from Kiger.
Kiger is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Kiger has control of Bento's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bento regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Bento tries to hold on but Kiger postures up.

Kiger has got one arm under Bento's chin. This could be trouble... Bento trying to control the other hand but Kiger gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Bento has tapped out! The fight is over!
