PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Robb Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Stark might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Down With The Sickness. Thomas has chosen Judas Priest - Painkiller as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Craig Thomas!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas connects with a right hand. Stark shakes it off.
Thomas slips a jab and a cross from Stark.
Stark takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Stark has managed to clinch.
Stark tries to stall but Thomas uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Stark has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Thomas regains guard immediately.

Stark has gone for a leg lock! Thomas slips out almost immediately though and dives into Stark's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stark is on top in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Thomas has Stark pulled in close to control his posture.
Stark preventing the sweep.
Thomas is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Stark drops back looking for a leg! Thomas is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Thomas manages to kick Stark off! Stark jumps back into Thomas's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stark won't allow Thomas to sweep him here.
Thomas wants to stand up but Stark is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thomas has his hands on Stark's head, controlling the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Thomas lands a jab to the head.
Stark tries to move into range but Thomas moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Stark takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Robb Stark has been cut.
Stark is looking to clinch but Thomas is avoiding it.
Stark showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Thomas.
Thomas drops Stark with a left and a right! Oh, Stark is hurt - Thomas dives into side control looking to finish!

Stark is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stark is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Oh Stark is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stark seems to have got his legs back now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Stark is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Stark tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Thomas wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Thomas decides to stand back up. Thomas steps back and let's Stark get back to his feet.
Stark fails to land the takedown.
Thomas misses with a double jab.
Thomas cracks Stark with an open hand slap.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stark throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Thomas counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Stark is breathing heavily.
Thomas scores with a nice strike.
Thomas jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Stark drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Thomas drops Stark with a right and a left! Thomas comes rushing in but Stark regains his composure and manages to keep Thomas in guard.
Thomas slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Thomas got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stark has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Thomas has managed to get both his arms back between Stark's legs - danger averted.

Stark looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Thomas has picked Stark up and slammed him! Stark can't keep hold of the triangle and Thomas manages to pass to side control!

Thomas lands with a nice combination. Stark backs away looking to recover.
Thomas fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Thomas drops Stark with a beautiful combination! Stark stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Thomas is looking for the KO!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Stark shoots and misses
and Thomas counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Stark falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
