The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but NESS circles away quickly and effectively.
Nice body punch from Cruz.
NESS dodges the punch combination from Cruz.
NESS looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cruz is fending him off so far but NESS persists. Nope, Cruz circles away and we're back to standing.
NESS looks gassed!
Cruz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but NESS manages to avoid it.
NESS looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

It looks like BIZZ NESS has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cruz cracks NESS with a big right hand and NESS goes down!

NESS is rocked!

Cruz gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Cruz dances in with a quick combination. NESS is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Cruz snaps NESS's head back. NESS stumbles backwards against the cage. Cruz steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with NESS's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. NESS just didn't come prepared.
