Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man feints and as Horvat raises his hands in defense, Man changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Horvat can do anything to dispel that myth.
Man is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Horvat throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Man trying to control but Horvat is working from the bottom.
Horvat really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Man. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Horvat utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Horvat is looking for a triangle but Man pushes his legs off easily.
Man has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Man misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Man throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Horvat's waist but Horvat gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Man off to one side.
Horvat looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Man is breathing heavily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Horvat accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Horvat is in close to Man's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Man not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Horvat working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Man's head.
Horvat slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Horvat postures up and lands a big shot to Man's brow.

Horvat would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Horvat connects with a couple of short punches.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Man pushes a forearm under Horvat's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Horvat is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
