Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tea Four (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jens Pulver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tea Four!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jens Pulver!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pulver clinches.
Pulver taking a breather.
Pulver can't break the clinch.
Pulver lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
A right hook to the body lands for Four.
Pulver throws a head punch that misses.

Four throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Four manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Pulver in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Four scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Pulver?
Four has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Four prevents Pulver from getting the reversal.

Pulver can't escape the position.
Pulver swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Pulver really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Four. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Four fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pulver can do anything to dispel that myth.
Pulver is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Pulver slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Pulver is trying to control but can't.
Four frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Four has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Pulver's face.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pulver regains half guard.
Pulver is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Pulver throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Four thows a huge punch but Pulver dodges it nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pulver gets back to full guard.
Pulver looking to hit a scissor sweep but Four is one step ahead there.
Pulver is pulling down on Four's head to control his posture.
Four pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pulver is keeping the position for now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Four loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Four with a flurry of punches that miss.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Four bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A combination from Pulver does no damage.
Nice takedown defense from Pulver. No joy for Four on that attempt.
Pulver tries to clinch but Four moves out of range.
Pulver doesn't manage to clinch there - Four circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Four looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Four shoots in and drives through. Pulver sprawls well.
Pulver throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tea Four will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Four drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Four working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Pulver keeping moving, preventing Four from controlling successfully.
Four chips away with some ground and pound.
Four pushes down on Pulver's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Four winds up and cracks Pulver with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Four postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Pulver to stand up.
Four tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Four shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pulver pinned against the cage. Pulver gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Pulver throws a leg kick but Four moved away.
Four swings for the body but Pulver moves out of range.

and Four counters by clinching up.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Four gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Pulver regains guard.

Pulver looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Four forces his way into half guard.
Four scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Four seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pulver does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Pulver manages to get to full guard.

Pulver is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Four rolls with it to try and escape but Pulver cranks on the arm and Four is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
