The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dean avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Tuou feints and as Dean raises his hands in defense, Tuou changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The fighters circling - Tuou throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Tuou throws a right and a left that Dean avoids nicely.
Tuou cracks Dean with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Tuou tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dean paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Tuou tries to bum rush Dean with a series of wild strikes but Dean uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tuou lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Tuou moves in looking to clinch but Dean pushes him off.
Dean has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Dean there as he acknowledges the shot.

Pat Tuou showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Dean drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tuou pulls his leg out and moves away.
