The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zombie tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Robinson swivels and escapes.
Zombie shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Zombie plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Zombie ducks under a wild hook from Robinson.
John Zombie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Robinson throws a nice looking combination but Zombie bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Zombie tries to clinch but Robinson is having none of it.
Robinson jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Zombie decides to stand up.

Robinson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Zombie.
Robinson misses the shot to the body.
A big right from Robinson misses.
Zombie ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Zombie tries to clinch up but Robinson circles away and keeps his distance.
Robinson throws a right and a left that Zombie avoids nicely.
Robinson throws a half hearted mid kick.
Robinson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Zombie looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Zombie is trying to control. Robinson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Zombie decides to stand up.
Zombie looks gassed!
Zombie moves in looking to clinch but Robinson pushes him off.
Robinson misses with a combination
and Zombie counters with a left and a right that stings Robinson.

and Zombie counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Robinson tries to circle away but Zombie has him pinned against the cage.

Zombie breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Zombie misses with a wild combination.
Zombie ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Robinson moves away.
Zombie scores with a hook to the body. Robinson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Robinson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Robinson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Horrible takedown by Zombie or perhaps it was just good defense by Robinson which made him look bad.
Edgar Robinson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Zombie.

Zombie swinging wilding here.
Zombie on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Robinson misses with a double jab.

A telegraphed right hand from Zombie misses the target.

Zombie shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Robinson throws a hook but Zombie blocks it.

Zombie closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Zombie tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Robinson is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Zombie dominated that round.

That's time! Robinson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Zombie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Robinson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Robinson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Zombie backs up against the cage.
Robinson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Zombie.
Zombie will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Zombie misses with a combination
and Robinson counters with a stiff right hand.
Robinson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Zombie's head.
Zombie feints and then cracks Robinson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Robinson down.
Robinson throws a series of punches but Zombie moves out of range.
Zombie throws a nice looking combination but Robinson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Robinson throws out a powerful jab.
Robinson misses with a straight left.
Edgar Robinson is winning the standup battle so far.
Zombie is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Robinson lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Robinson scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Zombie is rocked!
Robinson is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Zombie closes the distance and clinches up with Robinson, looking for a takedown. Zombie pushes Robinson against the cage but Robinson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Zombie is still on wobbly legs! Can Robinson finish him?

Robinson closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Zombie out cold! Zombie corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
