Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johannes Vaulen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Barraclough (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vaulen's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, I Love Norwegian Country. Barraclough has chosen MGMT - Electric Feel as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Johannes Vaulen has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Johannes Vaulen seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Vaulen working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Vaulen misses with a hook from the clinch.
Barraclough is trying to break the clinch but Vaulen is controlling him.
Barraclough dodges an elbow strike from Vaulen.
Barraclough misses with a knee to the head.
Barraclough goes for a takedown in the clinch but Vaulen prevents it.
Barraclough unloads a knee to the mid-section. Vaulen lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Vaulen has Barraclough pressed against the cage, preventing Barraclough from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Barraclough throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Vaulen blocks it with crossed arms.
Vaulen pushes Barraclough back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Barraclough blocking some punches.
Barraclough goes for a takedown attempt but Vaulen pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

and Barraclough counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Vaulen slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Barraclough is looking to advance position but Vaulen has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Vaulen lands with some strikes.
Barraclough sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Vaulen throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Vaulen working over Barraclough with some ground and pound. Barraclough looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Vaulen sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Barraclough defending well though.
Vaulen is thwarting Barraclough's attempts to control the position.

Barraclough is looking for a sweep. Vaulen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Barraclough moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Barraclough looking to hit a scissor sweep but Vaulen is one step ahead there.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Barraclough not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Vaulen missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Barraclough throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Barraclough throws a series of punches but Vaulen moves out of range.
Johannes Vaulen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Vaulen blocks a head kick by Barraclough.
Barraclough throws a head kick but Vaulen moves out of range.
Vaulen tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Barraclough counters with a big head kick but Vaulen shrugs it off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mike Barraclough will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Barraclough has had enough of the clinch but Vaulen keeps him there for the moment.

Barraclough pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Barraclough counters with a nice leg kick.
Vaulen throws a body punch but Barraclough moves out of range.
Vaulen connects with a nice looking jab.
Vaulen tries to grapple but his opponent circles
letting Barraclough counter with a right hand.
Vaulen wants to clinch
and Barraclough counters with a nice uppercut.
Barraclough throws a head kick that half lands.
Vaulen tries to clinch
and Barraclough counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Vaulen is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Vaulen is rocked!

Barraclough connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Vaulen tumbling to the canvas! Barraclough pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Vaulen was done - good stoppage!
