Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Del Phonics (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shane Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Del Phonics!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams tries to bum rush Phonics with a series of wild strikes but Phonics uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Williams takes a swing at Phonics's ribcage but misses.
Williams misses with a double jab.
Phonics shoots in and drives through. Williams sprawls well.
Williams with a poor takedown

and Phonics holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Still in the clinch, Williams scores with a nice short uppercut.
Phonics misses with a knee strike.
Phonics scores a nice knee to the body.

Williams breaks from the clinch.
Williams throws a left and a right that both miss

and Phonics counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Williams tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Phonics stops a takedown attempt from Williams.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shane Williams. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Williams wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Phonics has him pressed against the cage.

Williams is trying to trip Phonics. He has hold of a leg but Phonics is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Williams persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Phonics is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Well, if Phonics is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Phonics looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Williams with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Phonics throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Phonics tries to pass the half guard into mount. Williams knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Phonics works his way into full mount!
Phonics cracks Williams with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Phonics is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Phonics has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Williams's face.
Williams wants to try and get back to his feet.
Phonics trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Williams tries to hold on but Phonics postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
BOOM! Phonics connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Phonics working the ground and pound effectively.

You get the feeling that Williams really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Williams is trying desperately to improve position.
Williams is breathing heavily.
Williams wants to control but Phonics is having none of it.
Phonics with a couple of short strikes.
Phonics landing strikes from the mount and Williams is in trouble!

Williams is rocked!
Phonics looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Williams covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
