The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olympus checks the leg kick nicely there.
Olympus throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Olympus ducks under a wild hook from Bassito.
Olympus swats away the attempt to clinch by Bassito.
Olympus needs to keep his hands up - Bassito had a free shot at his head there.

It looks like Hephaestus Olympus has been cut.
Bassito tries to clinch but Olympus moves out of range.
Hephaestus Olympus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bassito throws a hook but Olympus blocks it.
Bassito looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Olympus lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Bassito sprawling to the canvas. Olympus follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Bassito hang on?

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Olympus is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Olympus has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Bassito works to full guard.
Bassito seems to have recovered his senses.

Olympus would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Olympus decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Olympus looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Olympus moves out of range of the leg kick from Bassito.
Olympus misses with a straight left.
Bassito lands with an uppercut that bounces Olympus off the cage and back into rage.

Olympus is breathing heavily.
Olympus rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bassito moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bassito throws a series of punches but Olympus avoids them all with ease.
Bassito tries to close the distance and clinch up but Olympus swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Olympus takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bassito doesn't manage to clinch there - Olympus circles away.
Olympus swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bassito counters with a good, hard body kick but Olympus shrugs it off.
A punch combination from Bassito misses.
Bassito lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Olympus at a distance.
Olympus throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Bassito counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Olympus down! Bassito is looking to finish but Olympus is intelligently defending himself.
Bassito trying to control but Olympus is working from the bottom.

Bassito slips nicely into half guard.
Olympus tries to kick Bassito off but Bassito keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Olympus on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Olympus tries to get out of the position.
Bassito not doing much here.
Olympus pushes Bassito off looking to stand but Bassito dives back in and keeps control.
Bassito seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Olympus throws a combination that misses

and Bassito moves into the clinch.
Bassito is looking to break free of the clinch but Olympus has double underhooks.
Bassito keeps control of Olympus as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Olympus pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bassito scores with a body shot.
Bassito jabs at Olympus's body.
Bassito lands with a cross.

Hephaestus Olympus's cut is getting worse.
Bassito connects with a nice looking jab.
Bassito lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Olympus takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Bassito swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bassito throws a nice looking combination but Olympus bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bassito moves in looking to clinch but Olympus pushes him off.
Olympus will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Olympus moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Bassito throws a shot to the body.
Olympus takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Hephaestus Olympus's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Bassito is looking to clinch.
Bassito lands with an uppercut that bounces Olympus off the cage and back into rage.
Olympus takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Olympus swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Bassito counters with a left and a right that stings Olympus.
Olympus with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bassito to score with a decent uppercut.
Bassito scores with a hook to the body. Olympus takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Olympus has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Jeez, Hephaestus Olympus's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
An inside leg kick from Bassito misses.
Olympus dodges the punch combination from Bassito.
Bassito misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Olympus scores with a crisp jab that stopped Bassito in his tracks.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bassito looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Olympus uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
