Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Keith Roylance!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tiago Fadido!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Leandro Rodrigues and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roylance shoots for a takedown but Fadido saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Fadido doesn't manage to clinch there - Roylance circles away.

Roylance drops back, looking for a kneebar! Fadido looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Fadido looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Fadido!

Roylance tries to bench press Fadido off him but Fadido keeps the position.

Fadido is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Roylance knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

That's time! Roylance's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



Fadido feints and as Roylance raises his hands in defense, Fadido changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Roylance here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Roylance working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fadido doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fadido manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Roylance drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Fadido manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Roylance has Fadido in his guard.
Fadido wants to control from the top but Roylance keeps moving.
Fadido wants to get up but he can't break Roylance's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Roylance had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Fadido is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Roylance Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Fadido's back instead.

Roylance has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Fadido has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Roylance is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Fadido has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Fadido!

Roylance has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fadido can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
