Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Enrique Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jayden Fuego (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gonzales comes to the cage accompanied by Himno Nacional Mexicano. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gonzales drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Fuego is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Fuego uses the cage to get back to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fuego sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gonzales is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fuego defends it well.

Fuego pushes Gonzales off and gets back to his feet.

Fuego shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gonzales pinned against the cage. Gonzales gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Fuego gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Gonzales.
Fuego shoots in for a double leg but Gonzales sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Fuego changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gonzales looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
