The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Engrle tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Parantainen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Engrle avoids it really well and circles away.
Parantainen keeps Engrle at a distance using the push kick.
Engrle throws a head kick that misses.
Engrle avoids the head kick by Parantainen.
Engrle goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Parantainen closes the distance and clinches up with Engrle, looking for a takedown. Parantainen pushes Engrle against the cage but Engrle circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

It looks like Jaakko Parantainen has been cut.

Parantainen parries the strikes from Engrle easily there. Engrle is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Parantainen to escape.
Oh Parantainen is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Engrle misses with the ground and pound.

Engrle wants to stand but Parantainen is controlling his arm.
Parantainen seems to have got his legs back now.
Parantainen wants to control but Engrle postures up.
Engrle wants to lay and pray for a moment but Parantainen keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Parantainen is trying to improve his position.
Engrle is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Parantainen throws a jab but it's blocked by Engrle.
Stan Engrle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Engrle doesn't manage to clinch there - Parantainen circles away.
Engrle tries to clinch but Parantainen is having none of it.
Engrle throws a sloppy head kick and Parantainen moves out of range easily.
Parantainen throws a jab when Engrle was well out of range.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Parantainen checks a leg kick.
Engrle lands a nice looking kick to the body. Parantainen takes a step back to recover.

Engrle tries to clinch but Parantainen moves out of range.

Engrle stuns Parantainen with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Engrle throws a head kick that misses.
Engrle connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Parantainen to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Engrle!
