Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lance Rusher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Allan Durham!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Roberts and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durham tries to clinch up but Rusher circles away and keeps his distance.

Rusher scores with a takedown into Durham's guard.
Rusher slips nicely into half guard.
Rusher wants to free his trapped foot but Durham is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Rusher working Durham over with strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rusher seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Rusher wants to pass the guard but Durham is defending well.
Rusher looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Durham is trying to stand back up but Rusher is controlling him
Durham looks gassed!

Rusher decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Durham doesn't succeed with the takedown

so Rusher counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Rusher controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Rusher is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Rusher controls from within his opponent's guard.
Rusher has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Rusher stands and steps away. Durham gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Rusher shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Durham pushes Rusher off looking to stand but Rusher dives back in and keeps control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Rusher postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Durham to stand up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rusher moves into the clinch successfully.

Rusher is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Durham can't fight it off and eventually Rusher manages to take the fight to the floor. Durham looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Rusher scoring with punches to the head and body.
Rusher content to stall in guard here.

Durham is trying to keep Rusher in close.

Rusher stands up and waves to Durham to follow him.

Rusher gets a clinch.

Rusher jumps into guard, dragging Durham to the mat.
Rusher bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Durham's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rusher stays in close to Durham's body and controls the position.
Durham wants to stand up but Rusher is controlling him.
Rusher scoring with some ground and pound.
Durham is looking to stand up but Rusher isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rusher sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lance Rusher dominated that round.
That's time! Rusher's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Rusher looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Rusher trying to pass the guard but Durham defending well.
Rusher is controlling the pace.
Rusher looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Durham with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Rusher is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Durham is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rusher has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Lance Rusher overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
BOOM! Rusher connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Rusher looking to control and managing it successfully.
Rusher seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Durham for as long as he can get away with.

Rusher has isolated one of Durham's arms. Durham looking to fight him off but Rusher twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
