Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikhail Smirnoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dimitri Krakov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smirnoz comes to the cage accompanied by Russian. Dimitri Krakov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dimitri Krakov!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Ivan Kurochkin and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smirnoz instigates a clinch.
Krakov wants to break the clinch but can't.
Krakov wants to get back to striking at distance but Smirnoz won't allow it.
Smirnoz tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Krakov smiles and moves away.
Smirnoz scoring well with a low kick there.
Smirnoz keeps the fight on the outside.
Krakov moves in looking to clinch but Smirnoz pushes him off.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Smirnoz drops down looking for an ankle pick but Krakov pulls his leg out and moves away.
Krakov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Smirnoz swivels and escapes.

Smirnoz drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Smirnoz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Krakov tries to improve position but can't.
Krakov takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Krakov tries to buck Smirnoz off but Smirnoz is having none of it.

Smirnoz wants to control but Krakov is keeping him busy.
Krakov tries to escape but Smirnoz is in control.
Smirnoz could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Krakov takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Smirnoz trying to control the action but Krakov is working from the bottom.
Smirnoz in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Krakov gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Smirnoz not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Smirnoz seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Krakov is controlling Smirnoz's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Smirnoz seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Krakov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Krakov is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Smirnoz pulls his head out easily.

Krakov wants to sweep here but Smirnoz controlling him for the moment.
Smirnoz wants to control from the top but Krakov keeps moving.

Krakov is pulling down on Smirnoz's head. It's preventing any offense from Smirnoz, at least for the moment.

Krakov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Smirnoz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
