Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Pattenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tero Nuppi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pattenson comes to the cage accompanied by Already Home. Peter Pattenson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tero Nuppi!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pattenson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nuppi slips a jab and a cross from Pattenson.
A head kick misses from Pattenson.
Pattenson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Pattenson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Pattenson gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

and Pattenson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Pattenson.

Pattenson tries to score a body lock takedown but Nuppi shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

and Pattenson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Nuppi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pattenson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pattenson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Nuppi wants to improve his position but Pattenson is controlling well.
Pattenson is pressing down on Nuppi's thigh, looking to free his foot. Nuppi is holding on for now.

Pattenson turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Pattenson manages to end up in side control.

Nuppi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Nuppi is working to avoid the ground and pound but Pattenson connects with a decent elbow.
Nuppi is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Tero Nuppi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pattenson tries a head kick but it misses.
Pattenson misses with a kick to the body.

Pattenson clinches up with Nuppi and pushes him back against the cage.
Nuppi is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Pattenson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Nuppi is fighting off a takedown attempt but Pattenson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Nuppi to the mat. Nuppi regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
