The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brickhead takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Donk. Bell catches Brickhead right on the button with a cross.
Brickhead is looking to clinch.
Brickhead throws a body punch but Bell moves out of range.
Bell blocks a jab.
Brickhead throws an overhand right that lands on Bell's shoulder, as Bell tries to avoid the shot.
Brickhead keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bell.
Bell fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Brickhead misses with a body punch
and Bell counters with a right hand to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brickhead fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

It looks like Bob Brickhead has been cut.
Bell moves into range and connects with a jab.

Bell shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brickhead pinned against the cage. Brickhead gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bell uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.


That has opened up Bob Brickhead's cut even more.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bell scores with the left hand. Brickhead knows he should have avoided that one.
Brickhead tries to bum rush Bell with a series of wild strikes but Bell uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Brickhead swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Brickhead takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Bell throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Brickhead on the side of the head.
Bell cracks Brickhead with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.


The cut above Bob Brickhead's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Bell fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Brickhead on the side of the head.

Brickhead is still on wobbly legs! Can Bell finish him?
Brickhead doesn't manage to clinch there - Bell circles away.
Russell Bell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bob Brickhead's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Brickhead takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Brickhead lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Brickhead.
Bell catches Brickhead with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Bell throws a sloppy head kick and Brickhead moves out of range easily.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Bob Brickhead's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
