Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, georges Rush!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Reed Andrews and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Spicey.
Rush tries to bum rush Spicey with a series of wild strikes but Spicey uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rush fails in his attempt to clinch.
Rush circles away from the clinch attempt

and Rush counters with a takedown into side control.
Spicey can't do much from the bottom here.
Spicey sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Spicey keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Spicey is trying to stand up here but Rush is controlling him well.
Rush landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Spicey on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Rush wants to take a breather but Spicey is having none of it.
Rush might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Spicey kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Spicey gets caught flat footed, as Rush shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Spicey wants to stand and escape but Rush is having none of it.

Spicey utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rush can do anything to dispel that myth.

Spicey is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Rush is keeping busy.
