Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phuc Yu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yu comes to the cage accompanied by Thai Fight Song. Souza has chosen 50 cent and Lloyd banks - Victory freestyle as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza has a takedown stuffed.
Souza shoots for a takedown but Yu saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Pedro Souza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Souza tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Yu scores with a shot to the body.

Phuc Yu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pedro Souza.
Yu turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Yu scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Souza doesn't seem bothered though.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Souza crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Yu - the referee stops the clock and Souza gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Yu. Souza manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Nice combo by Yu! Oh, that's hurt him - Souza falls to the canvas and Yu follows him into side control.

Yu has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Yu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Souza on the ground.

Souza tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Yu wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Yu has control of an arm but Souza manages to advance to Yu's back!
Yu has the hooks in. Souza is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Yu is not going to allow Souza to sit and survive in this position.
I really don't envy Souza right now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Souza is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Yu fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Souza, pushing him back against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Souza's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Phuc Yu is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Yu cracks Souza with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Yu thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Souza if he has to take too many more of those.

Well Yu has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
