Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kerry King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Lidell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lidell is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Year of the Icemandog. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lidell throws a body punch but King moves out of range.
Kerry King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King wants to clinch.
Lidell doesn't manage to clinch there - King circles away.
King pulls out of a head kick attempt.
King misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nice body kick from King.
King shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lidell pinned against the cage. Lidell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
King misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
King throws a sloppy head kick and Lidell moves out of range easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Lidell has had enough of the clinch but King keeps him there for the moment.

Lidell pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lidell gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Lidell throws a series of punches but King avoids them all with ease.
King sizes up Lidell with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Lidell lets loose with a powerful body kick. King will feel that in the morning.

and King counters by clinching up.

King escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Chuck Lidell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
