Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mini Bard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and VJ Mithani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bard comes to the cage accompanied by It's Catching Up (NoMeansNo). Mithani is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Forever - Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Eminem. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mini Bard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bard scores with a one two! Mithani had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Bard misses with a leg kick.
Mithani shoots in but Bard avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A nice leg kick lands there from Bard.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bard looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mithani shoots in looking for a takedown. Bard tries to sprawl out of it but Mithani keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bard manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

VJ Mithani seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mithani avoids a wild elbow strike from Bard.
Mithani manages to break the clinch.
Bard tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mithani swivels and escapes.
Mithani throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bard counters with a nice low kick that buckles Mithani's knee momentarily.
Bard feints and as Mithani raises his hands in defense, Bard changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bard loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Mithani is controlling Bard's posture.
Bard drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bard jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Mithani wants to sweep but no luck.

so Bard counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bard accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mithani swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mithani controls Bard momentarily but Bard frees himself.
Mithani is breathing heavily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

A decent looking cross lands there for Bard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mini Bard will probably get the nod.

Bard is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mithani is surviving well by controlling Bard's body position as best he can.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mithani is trying to escape the mount.

Bard with shots to the head and body - Mithani looks very uncomfortable down there.
Bard postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mithani looks a forlorn figure.
Mithani is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Bard sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Mithani is desperately trying to improve his position but Bard has a good base and remains in mount.

The referee warns Mithani that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Bard is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Mithani can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Bard avoids the attempt from Mithani to control.
VJ Mithani has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bard blocks Mithani's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Mini Bard showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Bard has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
