Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arnold Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmer tries to clinch but Shaw moves out of range.

Shaw clinches up against the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shaw is pressing down on Palmer's thigh, looking to free his foot. Palmer is holding on for now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

and Shaw counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Shaw is looking to advance position but Palmer has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Shaw should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Palmer looking to control and managing it successfully.
Palmer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Shaw is wriggling around trying to escape.
