The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rawls takes a swing at Astoria's ribcage but misses.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rawls is defended easily by Astoria.
Astoria feints and then cracks Rawls's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rawls down.
Astoria throws a series of punches but Rawls avoids them all with ease.
Astoria throws a lazy right hand but Rawls sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Astoria scores with a nice body kick.

Astoria misses with a hook. Rawls ducked under it nicely.

Astoria throws a leg kick which misses Rawls's front leg but catches the back leg as Rawls tries to avoid it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Astoria throws a sloppy head kick and Rawls moves out of range easily.
Rawls ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Some bone on bone action there as Rawls checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Astoria circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Rawls to the canvas! Rawls doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Astoria keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
