The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Comopanes is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Von Hellens knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Von Hellens for a finish.

Comopanes is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Von Hellens is defending well though. Comopanes let's go of the attempt for now.

Comopanes has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Von Hellens has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Von Hellens has hold of Comopanes's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Comopanes manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
