Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dan Vespa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Markus Warren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Vespa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Markus Warren!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warren throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vespa's waist but Vespa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Warren off to one side.

Warren clinches up with Vespa and pushes him back against the cage.
Vespa looking to slow down the pace here.
Warren throws an elbow that misses.
Warren misses with an elbow over the top.
Warren looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Warren goes for a takedown attempt but Vespa pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Vespa has Warren up against the cage in a clinch.
Vespa is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Warren is keeping busy.

Vespa works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Vespa is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Vespa drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vespa jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Vespa looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Vespa wants to control from the top but Warren keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Vespa shoots in and drives through. Warren sprawls well.

Warren clinches but Vespa breaks the clinch

and Vespa counters by moving into the clinch.
Warren misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Vespa.

Vespa has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Warren is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Warren pushes off an throws an elbow but Vespa leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Warren tries to score a body lock takedown but Vespa shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Dan Vespa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Markus Warren.
Vespa can't break the clinch.

Warren lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Vespa has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Warren uses from the top position.

Vespa bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Warren's guard.
Vespa throws and elbow that misses. Warren uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Vespa's guard. Nice move by Warren!

Vespa pushes Warren off and gets back to his feet.

Vespa shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Vespa showed some decent athleticism there.

Vespa is keen to just control but Warren is a slippery customer.
Vespa has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Vespa goes for an armbar but Warren turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Warren.

Vespa throws his legs up looking for a submission but Warren uses it to pass to side control.
Vespa prevents Warren from improving position.
Vespa manages to work his way to half guard, despite Warren's best efforts.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Vespa is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Warren is aware though and is defending well.
Vespa is breathing heavily.

Vespa working for a triangle but Warren defends it easily.
Warren wants to control from the top but Vespa keeps moving.
Vespa tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Vespa has momentary wrist control but Warren slips an elbow through the middle.

Vespa looking for a sweep. Not yet Vespa, not yet.

Vespa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Warren doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Warren manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Dan Vespa showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Vespa has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
