Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Larry O Leary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Leary comes to the cage accompanied by one day like this. Jones has chosen lil walter as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

O Leary is just content to waste time from the top position. Jones takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

O Leary forces Jones back against the cage and clinches.
The is referee keeping an eye on O Leary - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
A frustrated look appears on Jones's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Jones tries for a takedown but O Leary manages to get underhooks.

O Leary is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Jones can't fight it off and eventually O Leary manages to take the fight to the floor. Jones looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
O Leary takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Jones throws a series of punches but O Leary moves out of range.
Jones will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jones tries to bum rush O Leary with a series of wild strikes but O Leary uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Walter Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

O Leary is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jones's half guard.

Jones gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows O Leary to score an easy takedown into full guard.

O Leary got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jones has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, O Leary has managed to get both his arms back between Jones's legs - danger averted.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as O Leary accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Jones takes a swing at O Leary's ribcage but misses.

O Leary is trying to trip Jones. He has hold of a leg but Jones is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. O Leary persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells O Leary's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Jones is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
