The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jascro looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Rivera ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jascro moves away.

Rivera takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Jascro's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Jascro is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Jascro is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Rivera controlling the pace for now.
Rivera's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Geraldo Rivera just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Rivera bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jascro's head backwards.

Marlon Jascro's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Rivera slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
