Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rick Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bret Heart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bret Heart is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rick Thompson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bret Heart!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heart tries to clinch but Thompson moves out of range.
Thompson bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Heart! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
It looks like Bret Heart has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Heart controls Thompson momentarily but Thompson frees himself.
Thompson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Thompson wants to get up but he can't break Heart's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Thompson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Heart keeping full guard, as Thompson tries to pass.

Thompson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Thompson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Heart is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Heart looks gassed!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Thompson gets to his feet. Heart looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Heart is looking to clinch but Thompson is avoiding it.
Thompson clobbers Heart with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Thompson cracks Heart with a hook to the temple - Heart is on wobbly legs here! Thompson swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Heart falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Thompson wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Rick Thompson!
