Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeremy Cornish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Leroy McKensie!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKensie fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
McKensie throws a right hand that Cornish ducks under and follows up with a left that Cornish also avoids with ease.
Cornish tries for a takedown but McKensie sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
McKensie looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Cornish keeps the fight on the outside.
McKensie ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cornish moves away.

Cornish scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
McKensie blocking the ground and pound attempt from Cornish.
Cornish sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. McKensie defending well though.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Cornish works his way into full mount!
Cornish unloading with bombs!
Cornish trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Cornish looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Cornish looking to finish McKensie with some ground and pound. This is bad for McKensie!
Cornish connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Cornish thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Cornish has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cornish with shots to the head and body - McKensie looks very uncomfortable down there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cornish thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
McKensie wants to control but Cornish is having none of it.
Poor strikes thrown by Cornish there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Cornish throws some wild stikes that McKensie manages to avoid easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A nice elbow there by Cornish.
McKensie can't escape the position.
McKensie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cornish. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
McKensie tries to hold on but Cornish postures up.

Cornish swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jeremy Cornish!
