The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marr misses with the combination.
Marr takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Marr dodges the punch combination from Vessey.
A nice combination there by Vessey.
Marr lands a head shot.

Marr pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Vessey slips a jab from Marr.
Vessey lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Marr circles away quickly and effectively.

and Vessey counters with a stiff right hand.
Marr has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Marr there as he acknowledges the shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A left and a right from Vessey both land. Nice combination.

Marr is rocked!
Marr shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vessey as he avoids it easily.
Oh Marr is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vessey misses with a double jab.
Marr seems to have got his legs back now.
Pat Marr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Vessey misses with the combination.
Vessey works the jab nicely.
Vessey cracks Marr with a right hand to the side of the head.
Marr walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Marr throws a sloppy body shot

Vessey misses with an uppercut. Marr saw that one coming.
Vessey slips under a jab from Marr.

Vessey moves out of range of the strikes.
Vessey has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Marr throws a right hand that Vessey ducks under and follows up with a left that Vessey also avoids with ease.
Marr is breathing heavily.
No joy there for Vessey, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Marr takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Vessey throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Marr stumbling backwards into the cage! Marr bounces back off the cage towards Vessey, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Vessey lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Vessey celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
