The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Postiga will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Flett moves into range and clinches up with Postiga.

and Flett counters with a nice double leg into side control. Postiga won't be happy with that.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Postiga throwing shots but Flett is blocking nicely.
Flett tries to get to full guard but Postiga has control of the leg.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Flett has closed the distance and engaged Postiga in a clinch.
Postiga landing knees to the head.
Flett dodges an elbow strike from Postiga.
Flett is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Postiga trying to stall but Flett improves his position.

Postiga breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Flett misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Postiga avoids the head kick by Flett.
Flett circles away from the clinch attempt.
Postiga tries to clinch but Flett moves out of range.
Flett shoots in but Postiga avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Postiga wants to clinch

and Flett counters with a single leg into guard. Postiga didn't expect that.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dan Flett dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Flett counters with a shoot takedown. Postiga fights it but they end up in guard.
Flett with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Flett throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Flett misses with a body kick.
Flett misses with a head kick.

Flett changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Postiga looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Flett lands a nice forearm strike.
Flett is chipping away with strikes.

Flett tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Flett has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Postiga takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Postiga gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
The referee warns Postiga that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.


Postiga is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Postiga is in a horrible position here. Flett smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Postiga is still in real trouble! Can Flett finish him?
Flett with a couple of short strikes.
Flett landing strikes, looking to finish!
Flett lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Postiga has left one of his arms exposed and Flett doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Postiga screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
