PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nick Kapatos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blue Dawn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kapatos comes to the cage accompanied by Led Zeppelin- Kashmir. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Kapatos misses.
Kapatos defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dawn.
Dawn avoids the head kick by Kapatos.
Dawn fails with the takedown.
Kapatos lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kapatos.

Kapatos darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Dawn is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kapatos's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kapatos's back!

Dawn is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Kapatos defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Dawn is persistently looking for the submission but Kapatos is defending it well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kapatos is trying to get back to his feet but Dawn has full control of the position and if anything, Kapatos has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Dawn is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Kapatos knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Kapatos for a finish.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Dawn checks a leg kick.
Dawn is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Kapatos.

Kapatos stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Kapatos lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Dawn has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Dawn there as he acknowledges the shot.
Kapatos lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Kapatos lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Dawn fails to pull guard.
Nick Kapatos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Blue Dawn.
Kapatos is looking to break free of the clinch but Dawn has double underhooks.

Dawn ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dawn no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dawn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kapatos can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kapatos shoots in and bounces Dawn off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Dawn is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Kapatos frees his head nicely. Oh but Dawn has switched to an armbar! Kapatos is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
