Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Svenson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Sepultura -- Arise. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Thompson's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Thompson is looking for a sweep. Silva is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Silva looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Thompson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Thompson pushes Silva off looking to stand but Silva dives back in and keeps control.
Silva works his foot free and advances to mount.

Silva swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Thompson is now in Silva's guard. A big mistake from Silva there, giving up the dominant position!
Thompson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
