PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Frazier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Osulf Durin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Durin has chosen Feuer Frei as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Frazier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Osulf Durin!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frazier defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Durin.
Durin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Frazier shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
BOOM! Frazier connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Durin really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Durin tries to lock up and control but Frazier gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Durin sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Frazier missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Frazier seems to be looking for submissions.
Frazier throwing shots but Durin is blocking nicely.

Frazier is keen to just control but Durin is a slippery customer.
Frazier prevents Durin from standing back up.
Frazier moves into full mount! Durin won't be happy about that!
Durin keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Frazier has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Frazier is landing with some decent strikes but Durin is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Frazier scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Durin's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Durin tries to hold on but Frazier postures up.

Durin is working to get back to half guard.
You get the feeling that Durin really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Durin looks gassed!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Frazier controlling the position easily from mount.
Frazier seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Durin for as long as he can get away with.

Durin is rocked!

It looks like Osulf Durin has been cut.
Frazier loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Durin scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Frazier land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Frazier stands and salutes the crowd.
