Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marc Fuller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richard Head has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marc Fuller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard Head!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Head throws a right and a left that both miss.
Head shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fuller as he avoids it easily.
Head tries to clinch but Fuller moves out of range.
Head misses with a takedown attempt - Fuller sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Head decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fuller's guard.
Head tries to free his leg and advance position but Fuller is retaining full guard.
Fuller lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Head!
Head wants to try and get back to his feet.

Fuller gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

and Fuller counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Fuller is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Fuller stands up and waves to Head to follow him.
Head scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Head throws a lazy right hand but Fuller sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fuller misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Head.
Fuller content to slow the pace in the clinch.

That's time! Fuller's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Fuller tries to close the distance and clinch but Head swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Head scores with a one two! Fuller had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

so Fuller counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Head is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Fuller tries to stand but Head is controlling from the bottom.
Head throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Head wants to get back to his feet but Fuller is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Head is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Head lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fuller circles away quickly and effectively.

Head takes one to the chin there.
Fuller changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Head tries to avoid it but Fuller manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Head to the ground. Head escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Head shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fuller as he jumps to the side.
Fuller fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Head looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Fuller gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Head is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Fuller is looking for a sweep. Head is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Fuller kicks off Head and gets to his feet.
Fuller dodges the punch combination from Head.
Head throws a one two combo.
A combination from Head does no damage.
Fuller looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Head with a lazy takedown attempt

and Fuller counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Fuller.
Head is trying to force a seperation but Fuller has the dominant position.

Fuller has hold of one of Head's legs. Head is fighting the takedown attempt but Fuller gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Fuller wants to get up but he can't break Head's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Fuller prevents Head from getting back to his feet.
Marc Fuller overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Head will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Head throws a low kick but Fuller avoids it.
Fuller misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Head.

Head shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Head cracks Fuller with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Head unloads with some shots from mount but Fuller bucks and avoids them well.
Fuller is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Head throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Richard Head has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Head has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Fuller's face.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
