Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gregor Vandenhoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gene Carano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vandenhoff comes into the arena with Du Hast blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carano throws a sloppy head kick and Vandenhoff moves out of range easily.
Vandenhoff rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Carano moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Carano throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Vandenhoff.

Carano throws out a loose jab but Vandenhoff uses good head movement to avoid it.
Carano throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Carano has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vandenhoff is working away from the top position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Carano doesn't manage to clinch there - Vandenhoff circles away.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Vandenhoff crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Carano - the referee stops the clock and Vandenhoff gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Carano. Vandenhoff manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
