Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mashiba Ruy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tahida Menjadi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Menjadi comes into a darkened arena with his song building. P.I.M.P kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Tahida Menjadi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Menjadi throws a head kick but Ruy moves out of range.
Menjadi shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Menjadi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Ruy takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Menjadi has control of Ruy's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ruy regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Menjadi is trying to maintain a safe position but Ruy gets an underhook and turns Menjadi into the cage.
Ruy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Menjadi walks away with a smile on his face. Ruy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Menjadi clinches up against the cage.

Ruy fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mashiba Ruy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
