Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sven Torsk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kublai Congo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Torsk comes to the cage accompanied by Hammer Fall - Hearts on Fire. Congo has chosen Beds are Burning as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Congo gets a takedown into half guard.
Congo wants to free his trapped foot but Torsk is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Congo throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Torsk is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Torsk is looking to control Congo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Torsk avoid being mounted?
Congo seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Torsk tries to get to full guard but Congo has control of the leg.
Congo passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Torsk!

Congo has hold of Torsk's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Torsk manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Congo is in the full mount, landing strikes.

The referee warns Torsk that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Congo looking to secure an arm triangle but Torsk defends it well.

Congo is working for a guillotine from mount but Torsk frees his head quite easily.
Congo is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Torsk can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Torsk wants to hold on but Congo pushes him away.
Torsk is looking to improve his position but Congo isn't that keen on the idea.

Congo has control of Torsk's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Torsk regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Congo wants to control the pace but Torsk is squirming around nicely.
Congo works his way to his opponent's back.

Torsk is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Torsk is breathing heavily.

Congo is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Torsk knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Torsk for a finish.

Torsk is trapped and Congo is scoring with shots to the head and body.

Torsk has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Torsk is covering up but some of the strikes from Congo are getting through and doing damage.
Congo lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Congo.

Congo is working for a rear naked choke. Torsk is not defending it well and Congo has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Torsk refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Torsk's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kublai Congo!
