Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eli Eagle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunnar Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eli Eagle looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eagle tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nelson swivels and escapes.

Nelson rushes Eagle and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Eagle tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Nelson smiles and moves away.
Eagle avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Eagle looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nelson is fending him off so far but Eagle persists. Nope, Nelson circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eli Eagle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Eagle is breathing heavily.

Eagle drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nelson is trying to control Eagle's posture but Eagle avoids it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
