Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Franky French (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tazuboku Kayo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kayo has chosen Flipsyde - Someday as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kayo gets a takedown into half guard.
Kayo trying to pass the guard but French defending well.

French is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kayo pulls his head out easily.

Kayo is sneakily working for an arm triangle but French sees it coming and defends easily.
Kayo wants to free his trapped foot but French is holding on for dear life with his legs.
French pushes Kayo off but Kayo dives into side control.
French gets back to half guard.

French looking for submissions off his back.
French is refusing to be controlled, as Kayo sits in half guard.
French wants to sweep but Kayo has passed to side control!
French tries to improve position but can't.

Kayo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by French, who protects the arm well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
French is trying to control Kayo's posture but Kayo avoids it.
French is looking for a sweep.
French sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
French might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
French makes his way to full guard. A much better position for French.

French has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kayo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kayo passes into half guard.

Kayo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
French is looking for a sweep. Kayo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Kayo is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, French has managed to free his arm - good work.

French looking for submissions off his back.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

French has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Kayo. Oh but French has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Kayo goes limp - he's gone! French jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
