Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between gegard mousasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lions Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). mousasi comes to the cage accompanied by Hi-Gate- Pitchin. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lions Head!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Roberts and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Head lands a nice shot to the body.
Head looks to throw the jab but mousasi is out of range.
Some wild striking there from mousasi.

Head misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from mousasi.
mousasi is looking to land body kicks.
mousasi throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
mousasi misses with a few strikes there.
mousasi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

It looks like gegard mousasi has been cut.
mousasi throws a nice looking combination but Head bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Head is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in mousasi's half guard.
Head looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Head is sneakily working for an arm triangle but mousasi sees it coming and defends easily.
Head wants to free his trapped foot but mousasi is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Head is looking for a kimura here.

Head stops mousasi from getting back to his feet.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
mousasi trying to hold on to Head's head to control him but Head postures up.
mousasi wants to stand back up but Head manages to pass into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Head working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Head is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. mousasi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Head is looking to take a break and control but mousasi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

mousasi is looking to reverse the position.
mousasi is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Head has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Head tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Head has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
mousasi is looking for a sweep.

Head has an Americana. mousasi didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Head is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Head hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
