Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zach vanEsselstyn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jzk Crock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). vanEsselstyn comes to the cage accompanied by Day and Night. Crock has chosen raaah Crock-time! as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jzk Crock!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jonathan Paton and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
vanEsselstyn moves away from the strike by Crock.
Crock on the wrong end of a nice hook.


It looks like Jzk Crock has been cut.

vanEsselstyn has closed the distance and engaged Crock in a clinch.
Crock working hard to break the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Crock's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Crock throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but vanEsselstyn blocks it with crossed arms.
Crock wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but vanEsselstyn has him pressed against the cage.
vanEsselstyn keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Crock's efforts to push away.

Crock escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

vanEsselstyn closes the distance and pushes Crock back into the cage.

Crock breaks from the clinch.
Crock keeps the fight on the outside.

vanEsselstyn forces Crock back against the cage and clinches.
Crock wants to get back to striking at distance but vanEsselstyn won't allow it.

Crock pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Good shot there by Crock.


It looks like Zach vanEsselstyn has been cut.
Horrible takedown by vanEsselstyn or perhaps it was just good defense by Crock which made him look bad.
vanEsselstyn fails in his attempt to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - vanEsselstyn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Crock misses with a body shot.
vanEsselstyn wants to clinch.
vanEsselstyn gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Crock.

Crock dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

vanEsselstyn has managed to clinch.
Crock wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
vanEsselstyn tries to break the clinch but Crock is controlling the position.

Crock breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Crock ducks down and throws a hook to the body but vanEsselstyn moves away.
Crock lands with an uppercut that bounces vanEsselstyn off the cage and back into rage.


Zach vanEsselstyn's cut is getting worse.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Crock walks into a jab.
Crock misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from vanEsselstyn.
Oooh a lovely combination from Crock sends vanEsselstyn down but not out. Crock dives into side control looking to finish.


vanEsselstyn is rocked!

Crock tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Oh vanEsselstyn is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Crock tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Crock has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
vanEsselstyn seems to have got his legs back now.
Crock looks gassed!
vanEsselstyn gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
vanEsselstyn slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
vanEsselstyn looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

vanEsselstyn escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Crock gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Crock works a leg free and moves into half guard.
vanEsselstyn is trying to control but can't.
vanEsselstyn misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Crock moves nicely into side control.
vanEsselstyn on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if vanEsselstyn tries to get out of the position.
Crock tries to advance to mount but can't.
vanEsselstyn tries to strike from the bottom but misses.

Crock has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Crock uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from vanEsselstyn.
vanEsselstyn takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.


Zach vanEsselstyn's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
vanEsselstyn wants to clinch up but Crock keeps it at a distance.
vanEsselstyn tries to clinch there but Crock circles away.
A head kick misses from Crock.
Crock connects with a crisp jab.
vanEsselstyn is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Crock thows a body shot but no joy.

vanEsselstyn is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Crock's half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Crock wants to control but vanEsselstyn is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Crock moves into full guard.

Crock is working an open guard so vanEsselstyn takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Crock throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
vanEsselstyn staying out of range there.
vanEsselstyn tries to clinch up but Crock circles away and keeps his distance.

Crock blocks the body kick.
Crock catches vanEsselstyn with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

vanEsselstyn closes the distance and pushes Crock back into the cage.

vanEsselstyn has Crock pressed against the cage, preventing Crock from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Crock has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Crock wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Crock with a knee to the head.
Crock is trying to break the clinch but vanEsselstyn is controlling him.
Crock wants to break free but vanEsselstyn has control.
vanEsselstyn can't get the takedown.

Crock pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Crock throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by vanEsselstyn.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
vanEsselstyn uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Crock.

vanEsselstyn fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Crock, pushing him back against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

vanEsselstyn pulls guard.
vanEsselstyn looking for a sweep. Not yet vanEsselstyn, not yet.
Crock won't allow vanEsselstyn to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jzk Crock dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Crock misses with the combination.
Jzk Crock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crock connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

vanEsselstyn takes the fight into the clinch.
vanEsselstyn avoiding damage as Crock throws knees to the body.
vanEsselstyn tries for a takedown. No joy.

Crock manages to break the clinch.
vanEsselstyn gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

vanEsselstyn closes the distance and pushes Crock back into the cage.
A bit of stalling here from vanEsselstyn.
vanEsselstyn tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Crock avoids it.
Crock can't break the clinch.
vanEsselstyn drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Crock gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Crock escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
vanEsselstyn wants to clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Crock waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract vanEsselstyn.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Crock connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed vanEsselstyn momentarily.


Jeez, Zach vanEsselstyn's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
vanEsselstyn is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Crock.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Zach vanEsselstyn's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
