Haminall has chosen The Sound of Silence by Simon & Garfunkle as his entrance music. Matt Haminall has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cross shoots in for a takedown but Haminall shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Haminall leaves Cross with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Cross misses with a two punch combination.
Cross fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pavel Cross. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Haminall shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cross manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Cross is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Cross is pressing down on Haminall's thigh, looking to free his foot. Haminall is holding on for now.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Cross is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Haminall as he works his way to full guard.

Cross has gone for a leg lock! Haminall slips out almost immediately though and dives into Cross's guard.
Cross is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Haminall seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Cross moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Cross is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Cross throws his legs up looking for a submission but Haminall uses it to pass to side control.
Haminall passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Cross!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Haminall prevents Cross from getting the reversal.

Cross throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Haminall tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cross sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Haminall somewhat.
Haminall has a takedown stuffed.

Haminall looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Cross tries to get to full guard but Haminall has control of the leg.

That was a close second round but I would say that Pavel Cross will probably get the nod.

Haminall pulls Cross in close to prevent any damage.

Cross stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Haminall swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Matt Haminall comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Haminall has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
